Personal Statement

I’m a 5’4", 135 pound forward, but am able to play multiple positions. Originally from Rochester, NY but now live in Holly Springs, NC. I have a 4.3 GPA (8th in my class) and will graduate in the 2020 class. I’ve been playing soccer since the age of 5. While I realize there are plenty of talented soccer players, what I believe sets me apart is my knowledge of the game and strong technical skills. I don't panic under pressure, and instead of depending on speed to outrun the defense, I am able to control the ball and make smarter decisions. I truly love the game of soccer and can't imagine my life without it! 

I played for the ODP State team in 2016. As a freshman, started on the JV team and was the leading scorer, then played at the premier level with the Rochester Futbol Club, where I was also the leading scorer. My academics are also extremely important to me, as I have always had a passion for learning. 

I am highly interested in attending a mid/large size University with an interest in Business, Statistics, Political Science, and Criminology. My preference would be schools mainly in NC, SC area, as this is where my family is. Financial assistance is going to be a factor in the college selection process. Ideally, I would love to be apart of a program where I am able to make a contribution early in my career.  When I’m not playing soccer I enjoy reading, hanging out with my family, friends and my dog Isco!
