Personal Statement
Hello,
My name is Briasia Garza and I would like to share some information about myself. My Collegiate goal is to get an education while being able to participate in my 2 favorite sports if possible which is track and basketball. I'm a 4 year letterman on Varsity track and a 2 year letterman on basketball. I'm currently being recruited for basketball too, here is a copy of my profile at http://recruit-match.ncsasports.org/clientrms/athletes/4080758 I'm a hard worker academically and athletically. I take pride in everything I do and I'm someone who has a positive attitude and is coachable. I'm a great team player. I believe being consistent and disciplined will allow me to continue to improve in anything I do whether its in the classroom or competing in sports. My favorite bible verse is PHILIPPIANS 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
Also relocating to another state outside of Texas is not an issue if the opportunity is to good to pass up. I just want to compete at the highest level possible while continuing my education. I also know my time does not seem very fast. But I want to stress to you that my times are done with no off-season track preparation. I have never had an off-season. When my basketball season ends, I literally run my first track meet the following week with no practice. I know with with hard work, training, and next level coaching that I can run in the 58-57 seconds by the end of my first year in college. I just really look forward to putting in the consistent hard work that is necessary to get me to that next level. I believe I have a gift and I want to maximize my full potential.
Thank you
