Personal Statement

I love to challenge myself.  I am blessed to live in an area that has many great high schools.  I chose Marmion Academy, a very tough school for academics and discipline.  I made this choice because Marmion will best prepare me for life by demanding hard work and discipline, but also because Marmion will help me grow in my faith.  When I was picking classes my freshman year, I tested into Spanish 2.  I could have taken Spanish 1, which would not require as much effort.  Instead I chose Spanish 2 so that I could challenge myself more.  This would also allow me to take additional courses junior or senior year.  The next challenge I have set for myself is to play for a great college football team as a Long Snapper.

I hope to help my team win as many games as possible.  I would make a good candidate for a college football team because I am a hard worker, I am a good teammate, I am a strong student athlete, and I love the game.  I know I can handle the life of a college student athlete.  I get up at 5am everyday during the school year for drill team practice.  I have been able to sustain an honor roll GPA while balancing drill team practice, followed by a challenging academic school day and football practice after school.

After college I am planning on becoming an officer in the United States Army. I like schools that have a strong academic program, and I am also interested in a school that will help me in my journey to become a servant leader.
