Personal Statement

Being named an Eastern Mass All-Star ,Player of the Week and a Boston-City League All-Star in my Junior season this year was the highlight of my high school season. However, I have felt that I grew the most as a student-athlete during my sophomore year when our team made it to the Sectional Finals and went 9-2. Although the team had success I struggled in the playoffs eventually I was taken out of the starting lineup due to lack of vocal leadership and experience. This experience helped me grow as a person and lead me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming a player that could succeed at all three phases of the game, and also learned how to communicate and be a leader on and off the field as well as by example during my junior year. This year helped me learn about what it takes to be capable of playing at the college level and having success and what it takes to win as a team.

I want continue to be part of an amazing program, which includes winning I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership throughout my the 5 years I have attended O'Bryant 3 of which so far have include playing football. During this time I also learned about the tradition that comes with being an O''Bryant football player. This is why I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically, but also push me to become a better person and a better football player. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on any program. As a three-sport athlete and a captain, I know that I have what it takes to play on your team as well as succeed at the college level.
