Personal Statement
I want to go to a college where I am challenged on the field and in the classroom. I'm an artist, but I like to work hard and I love to play baseball.
I enjoy being part of a team. I always try to be a player who makes a difference -- even if I'm not on the field.
My high school is all about character. Athletics are secondary to character, in fact. I know grades are my "golden ticket." Learning doesn't always come easy to me. Baseball keeps me focused. I work for the grades I get. I want the ticket. I want to play The Game. My uncle played for UNLV and has always encouraged me to go for my dream.
What inspires my aspirations is seeing kids I buddy with at The Miracle League. They have fewer athletic gifts than me. But, their hearts are, yes, bigger than mine. THEY make me want to play. I hope someday to help them more than just as a volunteer.
