Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Danniella Dupone.   I attend Chaparral High School in Temecula, CA., class of 2017.  My sophomore year I was on the JV Volleyball team and was All League Champions.  

I originally was introduced to volleyball in the 5th grade at the age of 10 years old and I immediately developed a passion for the game.  This is my 1st year playing at 951 Elite Volleyball club and 3rd year playing at an elite level.   The past year I’ve experienced much growth and knowledge in the game of Volleyball.  I have a unique ability to grasp, memorize and retain what I learn and thus have maintained and combined the skills taught to me from the various coaches over the years.  My freshman and sophomore year in high school I was recognized for my smart serving, digs, passing and speed.  I was awarded the best defensive player of the year.  I’m a team player and recognize how essential teamwork is on and off the court.  

I volunteer at the Ronald McDonald house and other local facilities assisting handicap children.   I have a deep interest in psychology and in my spare time read a variety of publications on the human mind and behavior. 

My additional passion is acting and drama.  I played the lead character in the production, The Bully Play’s, in front of an audience of over 750 people and won 3rdplace for a monologue at the Shakespeare Festival. Other performances include monologues and plays for Romeo & Juliet, A Mid-Summers Night Dream which I was awarded 3rd place.  One of my best performances was during the Drama Teacher’s Association of Southern California fall festival and received an “honorable mention” for my moving performance in the play, Bang Bang You’re Dead. 

My aspirations are to attend a university which emphasizes on academics and athletics.  My strongest characteristics are my tenacity, hard work, focus and commitment to attain my goals and dreams.
